Watched Inception again tonight.

In the last scene, the son says to the father, "You were disappointed I wasn't you?"

"No," says the father, "I was disappointed that you tried."

Before committing yourself to somebody else's plan for your life, the models given to you by your parents, your friends, the media, how about asking God?

God calls us to fast and pray about the really critical issues in life.  How important is your choice of profession?

At three separate times in my life, I've asked God, "Lord, why did you make me?  What is my purpose here on earth?  Each time He took me to Isaiah 58.  He showed me his concern for the poor and needy and promised me abundant life if I would take up their cause.

Do you know what he's called you to? What could be more important than following it?
